That's So Minnesota: Ramsey Park in Redwood Falls

A viewer sends Ellery McCardle to a park with a gushing waterfall that will keep you captivated.

REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. - There are some weeks when I'm driving around Minnesota and I know I'm going to see something great before I see it, because I can hear it.

That's the case this week, when viewer Robyn Weckwerth sent me to Ramsey Park in Redwood Falls; specifically to check out Ramsey Falls. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot near the falls, I could hear the water roaring.

I started off my trip by going to one of the park shelters which overlooks the Redwood River. That's one spot you can gaze at for hours. Another is Ramsey Falls.

I parked in a lot, not the closest one to the falls, but one nearby. I walked along a neat suspension bridge to the waterfall overlook. The view did not disappoint and this park, did not disappoint!

Ramsey Park is the largest municipal park in Minnesota with 250 acres. There is so much more to see and do than what I captured, so I suggest you check it out.

As we get closer to fall, I'm making my list of where to take photographs once the leaves change colors. So, send me your ideas of where to go. Here's how to reach me:
