PLYMOUTH, Minn. - Four people have been arrested in connection with recent burglaries in Plymouth, according to the Public Safety Department.

Authorities said that on Sunday, while surveillance was being conducted in an area that had recently experienced vehicle thefts and residential burglaries, two people were spotted walking on the 3900 block of Garland Lane. They were wearing blue latex gloves. After a short foot pursuit involving a canine unit, they were apprehended, police said.

Police said footprints were found in the area that indicated the suspects had walked on several residential decks, and officers found a door standing open on a porch. One suspect also had a garage door opener that had been stolen from a nearby vehicle, according to police.

The two suspects arrested were a 19-year-old from Spring Lake Park and a 20-year-old from Plymouth.

Then early Tuesday morning, officers responded to a report of a burglary on the 2400 block of Zircon Lane. A male suspect was reported to have entered the home, and fled when the resident saw them.

After police began tracking the suspect, another resident found a male hiding in the back of a truck parked in a driveway on the 18500 block of 29th Avenue.

Police say two teenage boys, a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old, were taken into custody. Several stolen items were recovered in yards in the immediate area, police say.

Officers are actively investigating other incidents in the area that may be related. Anyone with information is asked to call Plymouth Police at 763-509-5160 or Hennepin County Dispatch at 952-258-5321.
