ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. - Community members are rallying around a St. Louis Park bakery owner whose shop was ransacked.

A GoFundMe has been set up for Tami Cabrera, whose store, Muddy Paws Cheesecake, was burglarized on April 14. The thieves cut a hole through the roof, ripping out lights and wiring in the process, and stole cash and checkbooks, according to the fundraising page.

The burglars also broke holes through the sides of the bakery, then broke the glass of the front door, according to Cabrera.

The timing couldn't be worse, according to the GoFundMe page, with wedding season around the corner.

The fundraiser has already gathered more than $15,700 to help Cabrera with expenses and to help her buy new security equipment.

"For someone who gives boundlessly to others and charitable organizations, let's rally and get Tami and her small and mighty business back up and running," writes the fundraising team. "Tami deserves a never-ending supply of love to recuperate her heart, soul, and delicious baked goods from this devastating assault on her livelihood and passion."
