MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. – A storage building at the Mendakota Country Club was destroyed by a fire early Friday morning.

When firefighters arrived at the country club around 4:30 a.m., flames were seen going through the roof of a two-story storage building located next to the club house.

Officials say the storage building appears to be a total loss.

A fire wall which separates the storage building and the club house prevented the fire from spreading, according to authorities, but the club house is closed due to smoke and water damage.

No one was injured in the fire and the cause is being investigated by the fire marshall.

The Mendota Heights Fire Department along with departments from Eagan, Inver Grove Heights, and South Metro all responded to the fire.
