INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. - Two people died in a fire in Inver Grove Heights Sunday night.
Crews were called to a home on Royal Avenue just after 8 p.m. They arrived to find the home on fire with possibly two people inside. Firefighters broke their way in and recovered a man and woman.
Both victims were rushed to the hospital but they succumbed to their injuries.
Authorities have identified the victims as 32-year-old Tiffany Meyers and 33-year-old David L'heureux, both of Inver Grove Heights.
Inver Grove Heights Police and Fire Marshal along with the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
A smoke detector was in the home and working at the time of the fire.
