Husband arrested: Sources, family members say he admitted to killing wife, daughters

The husband of a missing Frederick woman and their two daughters has been arrested in connection with their disappearance, police confirmed early Thursday morning. A law enforcement source has told KUSA that Shanann Watts and her daughters are dead and that her husband, Chris Watts, has admitted to killing all three of them. Shanann Watts was 15 weeks pregnant.

Charges and details are expected Thursday afternoon. KARE 11 plans to carry a live press conference from Colorado at 11:30 a.m. on kare11.com, Facebook and the KARE 11 YouTube channel

'Queen of Soul' Aretha Franklin has died at 76

Aretha Franklin, the multi-Grammy Award-winning singer who is the undisputed "Queen of Soul" died Thursday at age 76.

Publicist Gwendolyn Quinn told The Associated Press through a family statement that Franklin passed Thursday at 9:50 a.m. at her home in Detroit. The statement said "Franklin's official cause of death was due to advance pancreatic cancer of the neuroendocrine type, which was confirmed by Franklin's oncologist, Dr. Philip Phillips of Karmanos Cancer Institute" in Detroit.

Stillwater inmate now faces first-degree murder charges

A grand jury in Washington County has indicted an inmate accused of killing a guard at the Stillwater Prison last month of first-degree murder charges.

The jury returned an indictment against Edward Muhammad Johnson on charges of first-degree premeditated murder and first-degree murder of prison guard Joseph Gomm.

'Twilight' home for sale: Bella Swan's house on the market

Yes, you could own Bella Swan's "Twilight" home (hunky vampire not included). The quaint four-bedroom, two-bathroom 1935 house built iin St. Helens, Oregon, which found movie fame with Kristen Stewart in the "Twilight" film series, is on the market — a steal at $349,900.
