ST. PAUL, Minn. - A light rail train has struck and killed a pedestrian in St. Paul, according to Metro Transit.
According to Howie Padilla with Metro Transit, two adults were walking south on Syndicate at University Avenue and appeared to try to beat the train. Padilla said one of them made it, and one adult man was struck and taken to Regions Hospital, where he died.
The westbound Green Line trains were delayed at Hamline and University for about an hour Monday afternoon.
