1 motorcyclist dead, 6 injured after crash in central MN

A Minnesota State Patrol trooper reconstructs the crash scene where one motorcyclist was killed and 4 people injured in Kanabec County.

A crash in central Minnesota on Saturday killed a motorcyclist and injured six other people.

The State Patrol says the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on Highway 70 at Mahogany Street in Brunswick Township.  

Investigators say a Toyota Camry was traveling north on Mahogany Street when the driver failed to yield at Highway 70 and struck two Harley Davidson motorcycles. The crash also caused a Victory motorcycle to run off the road.

A 42-year-old Java, South Dakota man was killed in the crash.  His identity has not been released. Two of the six people injured are considered to have life-threatening injuries.

Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash which remains under investigation.
