MINNEAPOLIS — Two vehicle owners will be looking for new wheels following a hot-burning fire in a downtown Minneapolis parking ramp Monday morning.
Fire crews were dispatched to the fifth floor of the ramp at 8th Street and LaSalle around 8:20 a.m., and found two vehicles in flames. Captain Mike Terry tells KARE 11 that a fire started in one vehicle and then jumped to a car parked next to it. While the official cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, Terry says it is likely some sort of mechanical failure.
The heat generated by the fire also damaged some concrete in the ramp.
