A pair of U of M wrestlers have been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault.

Two U of M wrestlers arrested on probable cause of criminal sexual conduct

A pair of University of Minnesota grapplers have been taken into custody on probable cause for criminal sexual conduct Saturday night by Minneapolis police.A statement from the U of M Athletic Department confirms the two men arrested are part of the university’s wrestling team. Attorney Christa Groshek, who represents one of the men, says her client denies the accusation and has been cooperating with police.

Father drowns trying to save 3-year-old in Detroit Lakes

A man drowned near Detroit Lakes Saturday night while trying to save his 3-year-old child, who had fallen from a bridge into a lake, according to the Becker County Sheriff's Office. When deputies arrived they were told a 3-year-old child had fallen from the bridge into the water. The child's father, 31-year-old Christopher Schultz, began to struggle while keeping the child above water. Bystanders went into the water and brought the child to shore, but Schultz never resurfaced.

A new Navy ship bearing the name of Minnesota's Twin Cities was launched into the Marinette River over the weekend.

USS Minneapolis-Saint Paul launched with a 'big splash'

A Navy ship named after Minnesota's Twin Cities was christened and rolled into the Marinette River last weekend. Built at the Fincantieri Marinette Marine shipyard, the USS Minneapolis-Saint Paul will join ten nearly identical ships already on the water, with five more to come from the same Wisconsin shipyard. Swift and nimble, the ships are designed with room for helicopters, drones and crew of up to 98 sailors.
