SHAKOPEE, Minn. - A train derailed in Shakopee, shutting down a portion of County Road 101.
Shakopee Police report the derailment occurred around 3 a.m. on County Road 101 at Valley Park Drive. Officials say it involved 12 train cars, five of which came to rest on their side.
Police say no one was injured.
The train originated from Council Bluffs, Iowa and was carrying non-hazardous material.
Authorities remain on scene investigating the derailment. Valley Park Drive and Innovations Blvd. reopened Thursday morning.
