Trump supporters attending Duluth rally weigh in on immigration

They call themselves Front Row Joes. And they've been to more than 100 Trump rallies.

MINNEAPOLIS - President Trump is scheduled to stop in Duluth Wednesday for a campaign-style rally.

From Iowa to Minnesota, some will skip work to see him. They call themselves Front Row Joes. They often camp out for hours, sometimes days, ahead of President Trump’s rallies. Member Austin Bayliss, from Iowa, said the group has attended more than 100 rallies.

“When we see a rally or something like that we take a vacation day from work and we meet up,” Bayliss said.

Randall Thom, who lives in Minnesota, knows immigration is one of the biggest issues facing the United States.

He and Bayliss want to hear more from President Trump on the topic when they attend the rally in Duluth on Wednesday.

Tuesday President Trump tweeted: “Democrats are the problem. They don't care about crime and want illegal immigrants, no matter how bad they may be, to pour into and infest our Country, like MS-13. They can't win on their terrible policies, so they view them as potential voters,” he wrote.

“It is one of those things in my opinion we are a country of laws, we need to be a country of laws. This is something, it is not one person’s responsibility,” Bayliss said. “We see these kids and we feel bad, nobody likes to see kids being separated. It is one of those things to me. If somebody goes to jail they leave their kids. They can be a United States citizen and nobody is complaining.”

Thom said he has faith President Trump will be able to work with Congress to come up with a plan.

“Some of it I am not going to like. Some of it, I am gonna like a lot. But you know what, we gotta do something. Doing nothing isn't going to do anything for our country. We need to come up with an actionable plan, and a good plan,” he said. “Now that the Trump administration is enforcing the policy on the books people are squalling about it. Take the policy off the books. No plan is gonna make all of us happy. No plan is going to make all of us mad.”
