COLUMBIA HEIGHTS, Minn. - A woman is in the hospital after being pulled out from a house fire on Saturday, according to Columbia Heights fire officials.

Crews responded to the home on the 4500 block of Fillmore Street at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Fire officials say the blaze started in the garage area, and when crews arrived the home was fully involved.

There was a report of a person trapped inside, so firefighters attempted to get inside but the fire forced them out. According to fire officials, crews then made entrance through a bedroom window and pulled a woman out of the house.

The woman has been taken to an area hospital, where her condition is unknown.

Fire officials say part of the house collapsed from the blaze.
