Woman hospitalized after head-on collision

The Scott County Sheriff's Office says a woman was driving an SUV the wrong way on County Road 101 when she hit a semi.

SHAKOPEE, Minn. - A woman is hospitalized after driving the wrong way and striking a semi in Shakopee early Saturday morning, according to authorities.

The Scott County Sheriff's Office says the woman was driving an SUV the wrong way on County Road 101 and hit a semi just east of County Road 83, at about 2:19 a.m. on Saturday.

The woman was taken to St. Francis and then airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center, where her condition is unknown. The driver of the semi was taken to St. Francis but has since been released, according to the sheriff's office.
