COON RAPIDS, Minn. — The Anoka County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspected triple homicide that occurred in Coon Rapids.

Two men and one woman were found deceased in a home on the 200 block of 94th Avenue NW on Jan. 26 after officers responded to an "open-line" 911 call, according to Tierney Peters, a spokesperson for the sheriff's office.

An open-line call occurs when someone calls 911, but nobody is actively responding on the caller's end. In this case, "sounds of disturbance" were heard on the caller's end, according to Peters.

The call came in at 12:24 p.m., according to Peters, who added the investigation is active and ongoing and no cause of death for the three individuals has been determined yet.

On Monday, Jan. 29, Anoka County Sheriff's officials identified the victims as Shannon Patricia Jungwirth, age 42, her son Jorge Alexander Reyes-Jungwirth, age 20, and her husband Mario Alberto Trejo Estrada, age 39. All three resided in Coon Rapids, MN.

Their alleged killer, a 37-year-old man from Fridley, has not been officially charged.

Neighbors nearby were easy to spot Friday afternoon, waiting to see or hear any new information.

"To see something like this is very different in this neighborhood," Shamsadin Dahir, who lives nearby, said.

"To see something like this is different here in Coon Rapids," he continued.

Other neighbors were concerned for the safety of their kids.

"That's why we're standing out here, we want to hear something, because our safety is, you know, it's important for our kids," one woman said.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
