MINNEAPOLIS — A man died in a hospital following a shooting in Minneapolis just before midnight Wednesday, police said.
In a press release, Minneapolis police said they responded to reports of a shooting at 11:50 p.m. on the 2000 block of Washington Ave. N.
About five minutes later, a 47-year-old man arrived at North Memorial Medical Center with at least one life-threatening gunshot wound. Officials said he later died.
Minneapolis police say they believe an altercation escalated to gunfire. There have been no arrests as of Thursday morning.
Homicide detectives have begun an investigation.
