WASHINGTON — KARE 11 is honored to be recognized by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) with 11 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for excellence in news coverage during the 2023 calendar year.
The honors include the award for Overall Excellence for the tenth year in a row.
“Whether it’s investigative work that prompts change or a feature story that lifts spirits, we strive every day to help make our community a better place through our work,” said Stacey Nogy, KARE 11’s Director of News. “The Murrow Awards are among the most prestigious honors in journalism and we are grateful for the recognition.”
“This is a humbling recognition and a true team accomplishment," said KARE 11 President and General Manager Doug Wieder. "There’s not a single person on our news and production teams who didn’t play a role in this coverage. They work incredibly hard to bring excellence to their work and should be very proud of this achievement.”
