GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — The KARE 11 News team brought home 27 awards at the 2022 Upper Midwest Emmy Awards on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Included in those honors were the prestigious Overall Excellence (as a station) and News Excellence awards, with KARE 11 winning both awards for the third consecutive year.
KARE 11 investigative reporter Steve Eckert was also inducted in the Emmy Silver Circle for his outstanding contributions to journalism and his career.
The 2022 Emmys included newscasts and reports aired from June 2021 through May 2022. KARE 11 led all stations in the Upper Midwest chapter with 79 total nominations.
