When I was young, I wanted to be: Jane Pauley. I know, I know. Don't roll your eyes.
Describe your perfect day: Family days are my favorite days. My daughter agrees. On Saturdays, she'll look at me and say, "Mommy, is it family day?" We both get very excited to have an entire day to spend together as a family.
What do you order at a coffee shop? Coffee of the day, dark roast black. I'm an addict.
Who's your idol? It's trite, but my mother. She is the most generous, kind person I know.
Favorite subjects in school: English, history, political science
Favorite sport to watch: Basketball, but let's be honest. I'm not a big sports fan. Shaver is very patient with me.
Favorite sport to play: Golf, if you can call what I do "playing."
Why do you like your job? I love my job because it affords me the opportunity to meet all kinds of people from different backgrounds and tell their stories. It is truly a privilege.
Family: Julie is married to her hometown sweetheart Kurt and they have two daughters.
