Once a KARE intern, Morgan Wolfe has returned as the weekend evening anchor. She grew up in Blaine, graduated from the University of Minnesota and is honored to be home working in the Twin Cities at her favorite station.
Morgan has wanted to be a journalist since she would watch Katie Couric on the Today Show with her mom before school. Her career began as a multimedia journalist in Madison, WI. She braved the Packers and Badger fans for four years before taking a reporter/fill-in anchor job in Salt Lake City, UT. She moved cross country during the pandemic in 2020, and cherished every moment living in the mountains, including conquering Angels Landing and the Narrows!
Some of the most impactful stories Morgan has reported on were: the missing/murder case of Gabby Petito, deadly Utah avalanches, a Real Housewives fraud case, the US Open at Erin Hills, a Wisconsin explosion that killed a Sun Prairie firefighter, and covering Super Bowl 52 in Minnesota. Morgan’s favorite stories are human interest features.
She’s won an Emmy for her live winter weather reporting, and has 12 other nominations. Morgan also was the recipient for two Edward R. Murrow Regional Awards for writing and photography.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and dog, Ralphy. Morgan is adventurous and active. She enjoys golfing, fitness, skiing, and trying out new coffee shops/restaurants/breweries.
