GOLDEN VALLEY, ON — Ever wonder what the story is behind some of Minneapolis most distinctive and architecturally significant buildings? Now is your chance to find out. Saturday, May 18 and Sunday May 19, the welcome mat will be out for the first ever Doors Open event.
Doors Open Minneapolis is a weekend long event that allows the public free behind the scenes access to buildings throughout the city that are architecturally, culturally, and socially significant. The buildings include artist studios, made in Minneapolis, religious, government, hospitality, healthcare, and sports facilities.
Scott Mayer, Doors Open Minneapolis Coordinator and Houston White, Entrepreneur and community activist joined us on KARE News@4 to give us a preview.
