It's nearly time to meet the Oscars class of 2020. This year's Academy Awards caps off an abbreviated awards season -- the show will air on Feb. 9, weeks earlier than usual -- and ET has been here the entire time, sussing out Oscar fortunes. On Jan. 13, the Academy will announce their nominations, but before then, take one final look at our predictions for who is in the running for Best Supporting Actress.
This year's Best Supporting Actress race didn't officially begin until Jennifer Lopez twirled around that stripper pole to "Criminal." Lopez, whose past acting accolades include a Golden Globe nomination for Selena, is not only up for her first Oscar nomination -- but has been locked in a neck-and-neck race with Laura Dern to lead the pack. As for the honor of just being nominated, we're hoping to see some fresh faces here, like 24-year-old Florence Pugh and 75-year-old Zhao Shuzhen.
