Marc Anthony's dad has lots to say about his son's recent separation from estranged wife Shannon De Lima.
Felipe Muñiz discussed Anthony's marriage troubles in an interview with Telemundo Puerto Rico's Dando Candela, revealing that the 48-year-old singer and the 28-year-old Venezuelan model have yet to officially file for divorce.
"He's going through tough times right now, but he knows how to accept what comes out of this," Muñiz said during his son's concert in Puerto Rico last weekend.
Muñiz also acknowledged that Anthony and his wife of two years had "lot of problems" but asserted that they haven't legally parted ways.
"There's nothing concrete like that," he said, noting that his son has "experience" with troubled marriages.
Speaking of ex-wives, Muñiz maintained that Anthony's lip lock with Jennifer Lopez at last month's Latin GRAMMYS, was nothing more than a "friendly" kiss.
"They're recording together," he affirmed before addressing rumors that the Lopez smooch was a publicity stunt. "Hmmmm…You already know," he quipped.
On the subject of grandchildren, Muñiz said that he sees Max and Emme (Anthony's 8-year-old twins with Lopez) every three months, but hasn't seen Anthony's teenage sons with his first ex-wife, Dayanara Torres, in several years.
Despite a pretty complicated love life, Anthony appears to be in good spirits recently and hasn't taken a break from the stage since his split from De Lima was announced in November.
