The US Olympics Gymnastics Team Is Official! Meet the 'Fierce Five' Who Will Compete in Rio

Move over, Fifth Harmony! There's a new Fierce Five set to rule the summer!

Following this weekend's Olympic trials, the five ladies heading to Rio next month to defend Team USA's gold have been chosen: Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian, and Simone Biles, the most decorated U.S. gymnast ever.

It's safe to say the girls were excited about the news:

"This is such a distinctly talented team that will make history and be remembered forever," Olympic gold medalist and NBC commentator Nastia Liukin tells ET. "There is no doubt in my mind this team will come home from Rio with the Gold!"

Name: Aly Raisman

Age: 22

Specialty: Floor

"We are a team from start to finish," the Needham, Massachusetts, native told the Today show. "We work hard, we cheer for each other and we know that we're all doing everything we can possibly do, and that's all you can ask for of yourself."

Name: Gabby Douglas

Age: 20

Specialty: Uneven Bars

The so-called "Flying Squirrel" from L.A. is one of the first U.S. women's gymnasts to make two Olympic teams -- along with Raisman -- since Dominique Dawes and Amy Chow in 1996 and 2000. "We're going to go to Rio and just dominate,' she promised.

Name: Laurie Hernandez

Age: 16

Specialty: Balance Beam

The Human Emoji, as she's been nicknamed, was only 12 when she watched the last Olympics from her home in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Now, she gushed, "It's crazy to look back and see that I was fan-girling over like these amazing superstars back then, and now we can all be together on a team."

"It's really special to have this support system," the Dallas, Texas, teen said. "It's just something special that I'll never forget."

The three-time all-around world champion from Spring, Texas, is most looking forward to the group events. "Team competition is always my favorite, because once you reach your goal, you guys can always cherish that moment together," she revealed." Together I think we're stronger than individually."
