Out with the old, in with the new.
The Weeknd literally kills his old self in the chilling new music video for "Starboy," featuring electronic music duo, Daft Punk.
In the haunting visual, which was released on Wednesday, the 26-year-old Toronto native plays a burglar essentially shedding a version of his past.
The video opens with The Weeknd breaking into a hillside mansion, and suffocating and strangling the 2015 version of himself with a plastic bag. After a short struggle, the Weeknd's old self dies, leaving his current incarnation (complete with a new haircut) time to destroy the mansion while carrying a with a glow-in-the dark pink cross as his weapon.
In the end, The Weeknd steals a McLaren P1 from the mansion and speeds off into the night with black panther riding shotgun.
"Starboy" serves as the title track from The Weeknd's upcoming third studio album. The project hits stores in November.
