But to get in those gates — you're gonna need tickets.

Here's everything you need to know about tickets, discounts and hours at this year's Minnesota State Fair.

Hours

The fair runs from Aug. 22 - Sept. 2, beginning each day at 7 a.m. and closing at 11 p.m. — except Labor Day, which ends at 9 p.m. Though the fair is open until 11 p.m., the admission gates close at 9 p.m.

Presale tickets are cheaper than regular fair-time prices. If you buy tickets before Thursday, they are $15.

During regular fair time, tickets are $18 for people ages 13 to 64 and $16 for seniors and children ages 5-12. Admission is free for children ages 4 and under.
