FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. — The 2024 Minnesota State Fair Grandstand Series is adding some hip-hop flavor with the addition of a twin bill featuring Ludacris and T-Pain.
Tickets for the show, set for Tuesday, Aug. 27, go on sale this Friday, April 19 at 10 a.m. via Etix or by calling 800-514-3849. All seats are reserved and run from $44 to $61, with spots on the Grandstand's Party Deck going for $88.
Both Ludacris and T-Pain are credited for changing music in the early to mid-2000s. Ludacris, born Chris Bridges, has sold more than 24 million albums worldwide and is known for huge hits like “Stand Up,” “Get Back,” “Southern Hospitality,” “Number One Spot,” “Money Maker” and “My Chick Bad.” He also broke new ground in the world of music videos, using imagery and humor.
Music isn't his only venue: Ludacris has also carved out careers as an actor, businessman and producer of children's educational shows.
Mention T-Pain and most people think of Auto-Tune, the voice-altering technology that dominated the hip-hop world for years. But he is also a Grammy award-winning performer, producer and businessman. He even won the first season of FOX’s “The Masked Singer” after stunning audiences with his soulful, non-auto-tuned voice.
Ludacris and T-Pain join a number of artists already announced for the 2024 Grandstand Series, including Chance The Rapper (Aug. 23); Nate Bargatze: The Be Funny Tour (Aug. 24); Blake Shelton (Aug. 25); Happy Together Tour 2024 featuring The Turtles, Jay and the Americans, The Association, Badfinger, The Vogues and The Cowsills (Aug. 26); Mötley Crüe (Aug. 29); Matchbox Twenty (Aug. 30); and KIDZ BOP LIVE 2024 (Sept. 2).
The Minnesota State Fair will be making additional Grandstand announcements in coming days.
