FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. — The Minnesota State Fair set its fifth single-day attendance record of 2019 on its second Sunday, with 245,243 people entering the gates.
At this pace, the Fair needs 104,723 visitors on Monday's closing day to surpass 2018's all-time yearly attendance record of 2,046,533. That record is likely to be broken, with Fair organizers reporting parking lots filled to capacity again on Monday morning.
Attendance records were shattered right away in 2019, with records set on each of the Fair's first two days. Additional records broken the following week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
