80s hard rockers Motley Crue will play the 2024 State Fair Grandstand Series on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024.

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. — Talk about a way to "Kickstart your Heart"... and the 2024 Minnesota State Fair.

The Great Minnesota Get-Together will get LOUD on Thursday, Aug. 29 as the 2024 Grandstand Series hosts '80s hard rockers Mötley Crüe. Tickets to see the legendary L.A. four-piece, once known as much for their wild offstage exploits as their radio hits, go on sale this Friday, Feb. 16 starting at 10 a.m. via etix.com or by calling 800-514-3849.

The Crüe — lead vocalist Vince Neil, bassist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee and guitarist Mick Mars — hit the scene after forming in 1981, spawning hits like "Girls girls girls," "Kickstart my Heart," "Shout at the Devil" and "Home Sweet Home." They have sold 100 million records worldwide and charted six top-20 singles.

As importantly, the band has become known for its outrageous stage shows, with Lee's legendary drum roller coaster and Sixx's flaming bass.

Guitarist John 5 took over for Mars after he retired in 2022 amidst allegations and lawsuits.

Mötley Crüe is the third show booked for the 2024 Grandstand Series, following Kidz Bop Live and comedian Nate Bargazte. More announcements will be made in coming weeks.
