FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. — The Academy of County Music Awards (ACMA) are a who's who of the boots and hat crowd, with categories ranging from entertainer of the year to song of the year and everything in between.
But Fair/Rodeo of the year... who knew?
Yes, there is an ACMA category for the top fair or rodeo, and guess what? The Minnesota State Fair is one of five events nominated in the esteemed competition.
The Great Minnesota Get-Together is vying for the ACMA Award with the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles, CA, Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, WY, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in Houston, TX, and the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo in San Antonio, TX.
By the way, talk about perfect timing... today marks exactly six months to opening day of the 2020 Minnesota State Fair.
