FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. — The Minnesota State Fair continues to break records for attendance in its 2024 season.
Despite a week that began with severe heat and storms, fair-goers showed up in record numbers on Friday.
The Great Minnesota Get-Together set a new record with 225,521 guests, which topped the previous record of 209,789 which was set in 2019.
It marks the fourth time this season that attendance has broken records. The first two days of the fair both broke records, as did Aug. 28 earlier this week.
The most attended fair day ever was the second Saturday of 2018 when 270,426 got together at the fairgrounds.
Fans of the fair who attend over the celebration's last couple of days are likely to experience beautiful weather. Dry conditions are through this holiday weekend along with lower humidity than we've dealt with this week.
