Jesse Larson: 'Music -- it gives me life'

Jesse Larson says The Voice finale is about to "get crazy."

LOS ANGELES - Jesse Larson says The Voice finale is about to "get crazy." The Minneapolis born-and-raised musician is competing against three other finalists for The Voice crown.

Larson will perform three songs Monday night and one Tuesday night. He says among the songs he'll be performing will be Prince's "Let's Go Crazy" with Adam Levine joining in the fun. He'll also be performing a tune with former The Voice judge CeeLo Green.

"It's a pretty amazing scenario to perform with both of those guys in the next couple days," Larson said ahead of the final episodes airing on KARE 11.

"I'm going to leave everything I have out there the next couple of days and have a good time. I expect it to be very high-energy. It's going to be a lot of fun. Not just for me, for everybody."

When asked about the Michael McDonald tune he'll be performing, Larson said he'll be channeling his "inner Doobie." Larson is also set to unveil an original song, co-written by Chris Stapleton.

"That's a huge honor for me. I'm a huge fan of Chris Stapleton. Not only his songwriting abilities but his musical abilities. He's an amazing singer. A very genuine artist. It all comes from a very honest place and that's the same mindset I have for my musical journey," Larson said.

Larson says the process has been fun, but the grind can get tiring so the music and fan support is essential.

"There's an unbelievable amount of support back home. I'm in awe. I'm humbled -- grateful. It's a very special thing," Larson said. "It means the world to me. It what keeps me going. That and the music -- it gives me life."
