Minneapolis-native Louie Anderson is now an Emmy winner.
Anderson was nominated for his supporting role in the FX show, "Baskets," where he plays the judgmental mother of Zach Galifianakis' character, Chip.
On Sunday, he beat the odds and took home the trophy, beating fellow front-runner nominees Tony Hale (Veep), Titus Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt).
“I have not always been a very good man, but I play one hell of a woman," Anderson said during his acceptance speech.
The other nominees in the category were Andre Braugher (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Matt Walsh (Veep).
This marks the third Emmy win for the actor.
