WALKER, Minn. — Moondance Jam organizers have been bringing the boogie to Walker, Minnesota, for over 30 years, showcasing some of the country's most popular artists in rock music over its annual three-day festival.
This year, however, organizers announced the festival will keep things regional.
In a Facebook post on Monday morning, Moondance Jam said the lineup will no longer include national and international touring acts Creed, Blue Oyster Cult, Sweet and Foghat, to name a few. The festival said the "present economic climate" did not allow organizers to meet "necessary financial thresholds."
"In light of these financial hurdles, we cannot proceed with any national touring lineup," the post said.
Despite the sudden change in plans, Moondance said all purchased tickets will be honored. However, the festival has not yet offered refunds.
