FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. — Grammy-winning rap and hip-hop star Chance The Rapper will bring his flair and flow to the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand on Aug. 23.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 15 via etix.com or by calling 800-514-3849. They run from $48 to $148.

Chance The Rapper is a performer/producer/social activist with an amazing story. He grew up in Chicago and made his own music while refusing to sign a record contract, becoming the first musical artist to win a Grammy on the basis of a streaming-only mixtape. That was in 2017, when he took home Grammys for Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Album for the now-iconic "Coloring Book."

In the years since, Chance has tackled the worlds of filmmaking, acting and coaching on NBC's The Voice. Since 2016, his non-profit SocialWorks has pumped $10 million back into the Chicagoland community.

Chance The Rapper is the fourth show announced for the 2024 Minnesota State Fair Grandstand Series. For more on the other offerings, check out the state fair website
