MINNEAPOLIS — More than 30 years after they broke onto the music scene as snarling punks, the now-grown-up Green Day is bringing its national stadium tour to Target Field.
The band will play under the stars on Aug. 17, 2024, as part of The Saviors Tour, celebrating 30 years since the release of their iconic album "Dookie," and 20 years since the release of "American Idiot." The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas will handle warm-up duties on the tour's North American leg.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. You can learn about pre-sale opportunities by checking out the Green Day website.
Green Day - Singer/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bass player Mike Dirnt and drummer Tré Cool - have recently dropped two singles, "The American Dream is Killing Me" and "Look Ma, No Brains," that are part of a new album titled "Saviors." They will combine the new material with old classics when they hit the road starting July 29 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
