ST PAUL, Minn. — One of the biggest names in 80s and 90s pop and R&B will bring her list of hits and engaging stage show to Minnesota this summer.
Janet Jackson announced Tuesday that she is extending her "Together Again" tour into 2024, adding 35 new dates. One of them is Tuesday, June 18 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Tickets go on sale this Friday, January 19 at 10 a.m. via LiveNation. Presale opportunities and VIP packages are available starting Wednesday, Jan. 17.
Hip-hop legend Nelly will open.
Jackson was all over the pop charts in the 1980s and 90s, with hits like "Miss You Much," "Escapade," "That's the Way Love Goes" and Control, among others. The "Together Again 2024 Tour" marks Jackson's 50th Anniversary in the entertainment industry and will spotlight the milestones from three of Jackson’s most critically acclaimed albums - 25 years of “The Velvet Rope," 30 years of “janet," and 35 years of “Rhythm Nation.”
She has a special connection to Minnesota, as mega-producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis produced many of Jackson's most memorable albums and songs. She spent time in the state while recording with the duo.
Janet Jackson is an accomplished musician, actor, and published author who has won five Grammys, two Emmys, two Golden Globes and was nominated for an Academy Award.
