PRIOR LAKE, Minn — The weather is just starting to cool down but next summer's concerts are heating up! Announced Thursday, REO Speedwagon is joining the lineup at this summer's Lakefront Music Fest in Prior Lake.
REO has been around since the late '60s, churning out fan favorites like “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Time For Me To Fly,” “Roll With The Changes,” “Keep On Loving You,” “Take It On the Run,” and so many more.
Lakefront will be held on Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15 in 2023. Friday celebrates all the classic rock you grew up loving with headliner Lynyrd Skynyrd, REO Speedwagon and another band still to be announced.
On Saturday things get a little bit country with Darius Rucker headlining the night's festivities. Joe Nichols and one other act will perform as well, so stay tuned for band announcements.
Tickets for the summer festival will run you $65 per night or $80 for the entire weekend. If you'd like to spend a little more, Pit Passes and VIP tickets are also available. More information about admission is available at the Lakefront Music Fest website.
The festival was originally called the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival when it was established in 2010 and has since grown into one of the largest outdoor music events in the Twin Cities. Proceeds benefit the Prior Lake Rotary Foundation, the Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools: Laker Athletic Booster Club, Patrons of the Arts and Parent, Teacher, Child organizations.
