GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — Twenty-five years ago, Minneapolis rockers Soul Asylum created a music video that made a difference.
In the late 1990s, they made a video for their hit song "Runaway Train," partnering with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) to show photos of missing kids. NCMEC says that video helped to recover 21 missing children.
Now, for the 25th anniversary, NCMEC is releasing a new video with new technology. The geo-targeting in the video allows each watcher to see missing kids closest to their own zip code.
The video features a cover of the classic song done by Jamie N Commons, Skylar Grey and Gallant.
