SHAKOPEE, Minn. — They made unexpected magic on two acclaimed albums, and now rock legend Robert Plant and country-bluegrass chanteuse Alison Krauss are taking their show on the road, including a summer stop in Shakopee.

Plant and Krauss will play the outdoor Mystic Amphitheater on Friday, June 7. Tickets start at $59, and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16 via the Mystic Lake website. You can also call the Mystic Lake box office at 952-496-6563.

It was way back in 2007 that Plant and Krauss released "Raising Sand" after cultivating an unusual friendship based on a mutual love of Americana and roots music. The Led Zepplin frontman and one of country music's most iconic vocalists made a record that won six Grammys, including Record and Album of the Year.

A mere 14 years later, the two friends reunited to make "Raise the Roof," a record that debuted in the Billboard Top 10 and spent 20 weeks in the top spot on the Americana chart.

The 2024 live tour will feature Plant, Krauss and their all-star band running through "a cosmic collision of early blues, country deep cuts, revolutionary folk-rock and lost soul music." Fans can also expect reimagined arrangements of classic Led Zeppelin cuts like “The Battle of Evermore,” “Rock and Roll,” “When The Levee Breaks” and other surprises.

Roots rocker JD McPherson and his band will handle warmup duties.
