GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — The Science Museum is getting ready to kick off a new summer tradition: Dino Fest. This year's event takes place on Saturday, July 13, and will feature a bunch of cool activities for all ages, including talks from dino experts from around the state, live animals, performances by a life-sized T. rex puppet, a peek inside the museums paleontology lab, hands-on activities, and much more.
Dr. Alex Hastings is the Science Museum of Minnesota’s new Fitzpatrick Chair of Paleontology. Hastings, a dinosaur-lover since early childhood, came to the Science Museum from the Virginia Museum of Natural History, and he is passionate about the getting science knowledge out of the labs and putting it in front of the community.
Visitors will have a chance to meet him and other dinosaur experts from around the state at the Science Museum’s Dino Fest on Saturday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Learn more at smm.org/dino-fest.
