WAYZATA, Minn. — KARE in the Air is back — and this time, we're getting the lowdown on area downtowns.
Our tour kicks off in downtown Wayzata, which boasts a newly opened 1,200-foot lake walk along the northern shore of Lake Minnetonka.
City leaders say the goal is to help people enjoy the water without a boat or private lake property, which can get tricky with the existing railroad crossing.
The new walkway will even be open in the winter, as its pilings were fitted with special steel skirts to break up the ice.
