Twin Cities students learn skills for the future

By channeling children's natural interest in video/computer games, they teach them skills that will be in high demand their whole lives.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. --Code Ninjas is a brand new tech company in the Twin Cities area, opening 10 centers in the past 6 months. By channeling children's natural interest in video/computer games, they teach them skills that will be in high demand their whole lives. The "Senseis" (teachers) guide the "Ninjas" (students) through the 9 belts, and by the time a Ninja reaches the black belt, he or she will be able to publish their own game to the app store.

Code Ninjas director Chris Kratoska and Ninjas Annalia & Arjan demonstrate a game. Ninjas learn to code in several different languages, moving from white belt to black; by the time they are a black belt, they will create and release their own app on the App Store and Google Play.
