Trunk or treat! This version of the time-worn classic involves bringing the kids - and the car - to get goodies.
Deck out your car trunk in spooky decor, and kids can wander to other cars in the parking lot to gather candy and compare costumes. All events are free.
Minneapolis
For candy and a pumpkin patch, visit Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in south Minneapolis. On Oct. 29, church members and neighbors will decorate cars and park in the lot from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free-will donations are accepted, not required. For more information, click here.
Also, near Powderhorn Park, the Division of Indian Work is hosting a trunk or treat on Oct. 30. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., they will host trick or treating and hot fall beverages in the upper parking lot. For more information, click here.

St. Paul
On the Greater East Side, the Hazel Park United Church of Christ is hosting the event on Oct. 31 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. alongside a hot dog dinner and hot fall beverages. The event requests that you sign up beforehand at this link if you plan to host a trunk.
Golden Valley
At City Hall, the Golden Valley Police and Fire Departments are teaming up for a trunk or treat featuring the Teddy Bear Band on Oct. 28 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, click here.

Looking to bring the dog? Head to the Maple Grove Community Center on Oct. 28 and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. they will have treats for the kids... and the pups. For more information, click here.
Plymouth
