BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — It's not just cars that should be kept off the ice in this winter of inconsistent temps.
On Wednesday the Bloomington Fire Department tweeted out photos of a dog being rescued by crews after falling through the surface of a partially frozen river.
Those rescue crews carefully made their way out on the river and were able to pull the German Shepherd out of the water. The dog was obviously wet and very cold, but otherwise OK.
After the photos were posted Wednesday night the owner was immediately located and the dog and owner will soon be reunited, according to Bloomington Fire officials. .
No further information has been released.
