ST PAUL, Minn. — A unique summer program is putting students in front of the camera as TV reporters.
Each year, ThreeSixty Journalism hosts its annual TV Broadcast Camp at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. Students are paired up with professional mentors to create television news reports on various health topics, in cooperation with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota’s Center for Prevention.
This year, KARE 11 reporter Samie Solina and photojournalist David Porter teamed up with student Everett Parker for a story about mental health programs and resources at the Indian Health Board in Minneapolis. Watch Everett’s full story in the video player above.
