GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — Are you ready for the 2020 Pinky Swear Kids Chef event at Mall of America this Sunday, Feb. 23?

Joe Zander of the Pinky Swear Foundation and Chef Ariana Feygin are!

Star teen chef Ariana Feygin runs Ariana’s Kitchen and competed on MasterChef Junior in 2018. She stopped by KARE in the Kitchen to show us how to make some homemade pasta.

Recipe: Homemade Pasta

Ingredients:

2 Cups flour

3 Large eggs, beaten

1 Tablespoon olive oil

1 Teaspoon kosher salt

Procedure:

On a flat, clean surface, combine flour and salt. Using your hands, form a "volcano" with the flour mixture with a crater in the center for the eggs.

Combine eggs and oil. Pour the egg mixture into the crater and using a fork, slowly incorporate the egg mixture into the flour until it forms a shaggy dough.

Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. This can also be done using the dough hook on an electric mixer.

Wrap in plastic and chill 30 mins or overnight.

Cut and roll out pasta.

Boil in salted water until al dente.

Plate with favorite sauce and accompaniments.
