Pickle dips kick up game day fair for Superbowl Sunday

Best friends Sara Doherty and Britt Jungerberg serve up easy recipes using their unique dip blends.

Twin Cities based Darling Pickle Dips is the new kid on the snack food block and just in time for Superbowl parties.

Owners Sara Doherty and Britt Jungerberg, joined us on KARE News@4 to demonstrate their company’s three dip varieties that can be used in a host of ways. These include salty snacks and veggies, to burgers and brats as well as a tasty addition to your baked potato bar. 

Mini Pita

Greek Salad toppings dress up pita bread spread with spicy Pickle Dip.

Prep time: 10 minutes

Ready in: 10 minutes

1 (6-inch) pita or flatbread

1/4 cup Darling Pickle Dip Spicy Pickle Dip

2 Tbsp. crumbled feta cheese

1 Tbsp. sliced kalamata olives

2 Tbsp. chopped cucumber

2 Tbsp. sliced grape tomatoes

2 tsp. chopped green onion

Place pita on a cutting board. Spread pita with Spicy Pickle Dip. Sprinkle remaining ingredients over dip evenly. With a large knife cut pita into 8 wedges. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Makes 8 appetizer wedges

Mexican Street Corn Dip

INGREDIENTS

1 cup Corn

3 Tbsp Spicy Pickle Dip

1/4 tsp Cumin

1/4 cup chopped Cilantro

1/3 cup crumbled Queso Fresca for Garnish

Corn Chips for Dipping

DIRECTIONS

Combine corn, pickle dip, cumin and cilantro in

a small mixing bowl. Stir until all ingredients are

evenly mixed. Transfer to a serving bowl and

garnish with queso fresca. Serve with corn chips.
