NBC – November 3rd is National Sandwich Day! A celebration of the popular lunch item believed to be the namesake of the Fourth Earl of Sandwich back in the 1700s.
Subway is celebrating the occasion in a big way with what it calls "the good deed feed."
Guests who purchase any sub and a beverage will get a free sub, and Subway will donate a meal to Feeding America.
The company says it's striving to make National Sandwich Day the single largest meal donation day in Feeding America's history, with no limit on the number of meals donated.
