Good things comes in small packages — through the mail; here are 2023's holiday shipping deadlines

Couriers are reminding folks to put gifts in the mail by their respective deadlines to ensure the packages arrive in time for the holidays.

MINNEAPOLIS — If there's any indication as to how busy this year's holiday shipping season will be, one need look no further than 2023 Cyber Monday and Black Friday sales.

According to data collected from Adobe Analytics, shoppers threw down $12.4 billion on Monday alone, making it the biggest online shopping day ever. Now, companies responsible for transferring those gifts quickly and safely from point A to point B are reminding folks to put those gifts in the mail by their respective deadlines to ensure packages arrive in time for the holidays.

The United State Postal Service said packages sent through their offices should be out by Dec. 16 for ground shipping and first class mail, while those at FedEx put a Dec. 15 deadline on five-day ground shipping.

For UPS, specific ground shipping dates can be determined through its website, but if you opt for the company's three-day select service, you're looking at a deadline of Dec. 19 in order to be received by Friday, Dec. 22.

For information on international mail and shipping, visit your courier's website or nearest location.
